|Black Horse Militia|
I'm currently listening to a podcast from Preston Schleinkofer at Civil Defense Radio and the folks he's speaking with are making some good points. Good points as it refers to being prepared and getting more people to get active in training for emergency situations.
Let's state what we already know, but so many are blind to, FEMA will not be able to save everybody. This is clear just by using some common sense. Ratio of FEMA to civilians? Get my point? I know you do. Furthermore, lets not forget, coming into 2019 FEMA and DHS came right out and told us and the government via there report that we should be preparing for up to 6 months or more to sustain ourselves. Now look at what's happening with California. The wording was different though at the beginning of those reports, but I'll let those above novice in the area of prepping and situational aware break that down. It wasn't a EMP. Go figure.
The general consensus here is that we need more of you, more of us to get involved in training and preparing for emergencies. For disasters natural or man made. Your local police departments will be completely overwhelmed in a massive situation of distress. This will leave much of the policing up to the community. 911 services will be beyond max capacity so you will have to learn the skills needed to hold you and your family over until a later time if you needed a medic.
Again, lets use California as an example. Contrary to what people may say, there was a warning about the PG&E company possibly shutting off the power, but some didn't take the proper steps to make sure those with medical needs would be ok. (See the links below) Those with medical equipment requiring a power source didn't put alternatives into place and many suffered. These are matters that we have to be ready for and FEMA will not be there to help immediately. Matter of fact don't expect any ETA on them when disaster strikes.
Who will be there with boots on the ground from the initial start or strike of a disaster? US. We the people will be there and we will have to take care of each other. Now I know often times the militia is looked at primarily as a defensive only type of group. Not with us and more militias are implementing more of the civil defense aspects into there procedures and make up. Other organizations like the Three Percenters have always included CERT in there educational resources to seek out and take part.
Not everyone who joins the militia is going to be a infantry man. Just like in a corporate business there are many positions and this allows for the more of the non infantry folk to find a spot within our organization or one like it. This is why we have said since day one that we are more than just a militia.
Bottom line is that FEMA is but one helping hand in an huge emergency, but let's be real here, many of you don't want to have anything to do with FEMA or there camps. You have your reasons, I get it. This just means that more of the local non government tied organizations need to grow. People should take more of a interest in there own security and self reliance. This comes by us spreading the word about what we do here and also working along side some of the other organizations like the Red Cross, FEMA and ARES to name a few for training.
Don't put off what you can do now and you can start prepping now on a budget and over time set yourselves up to be much better off for an emergency situation that closes or clears out your local grocery stores.
Some of the benefits to joining your local militia:
- Free medical training
- Free fire arms training
- Free living off the grid training
- Free or discounted self defense training
- Free radio communications training
- Free training and share information on home prepping
- You become part of immediate network of fellow preppers
- Your fellow team members and neighbors who join take the place of service loss
- Closer ties to community emergency staff like local police, EMTs, radio clubs, etc...
- Immediate back up security when the police are stretched thin
- Better knowledge of local logistics for emergency transport of people and goods
- Search and rescue with a real knowledge of the area in which they are working
This is a quick list, but you get the point.
(Below is a list of links all speaking on the power grid being shut down.)
This screen shot comes courtesy of the Grays Harbor Emergency Management agency's Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/ghcdem/ As you can see not only will the coast be hit hard with wind gust up to 40mph in Westport, but even to the east we are seeing wind speeds up to 25mph.
Be sure to be prepared for possible power outages. You know the drill, make sure the flash lights are in working order. Get the lamps and other lights out. Be cautious for falling trees, broken branches in the roadways and fallen power lines.
Be sure to check on your elderly neighbors as well.
Have you watched your local news and thought to yourself, "how in the world can they be real reporters when they can't even get a neighborhood right in a story?" Or what about when you can clearly hear the bias in there reporting? You know that it doesn't even reflect the "Professional teleprompter reader" right? They get paid and they read without any public questioning of the facts or lack there of.
How many of you recall the general script that all the Sinclair news networks were using? I'll refresh your memory.
It's time that if we don't like the BS that they are shoving down the people's throats that we encourage the truth seekers and true investigative reporters to stand up. We all know the big names in the propaganda industry will not and do not like the independents. This is one of the main reasons why they report false stories. They gotta get those ratings right? Terrible. Incomplete information. Directed misinformation.
Find those independent news sources and share them with the rest of us. Only reporters of the truth. Not a one sided perspective. WE THE PEOPLE should have only one perspective and that's a Constitutional perspective.
Here's what the FCC has to say on fake news reporting during a news broadcast. https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/broadcasting-false-information
(Side note. Only the intro into a broadcast should be fully scripted for uniformity. Much like a HAM NET. After that, get to the facts and facts only, no matter who gets aired out.)
So as you've seen and heard today, the awesome state of California is having a major power outage right now. Talks of the power not being restored for up to 7 days is the latest word.
I'm actually not surprised as these outages were reported on months ago via some YouTube channels that actually know there stuff.
Should we be concerned here in Washington? Yes. First and foremost because our weather has been having a fit lately with tornado funnels and lightening and thunder shows over the last month. For that reason I say yes, be concerned. What we don't have to worry about is the dry conditions paired with any sort of high temps. If you haven't noticed, we are almost bypassing fall and going right into winter around here. Again, another reason to be concerned and to make sure your supplies are in order for such an event here in our area.
There is a lot of talk that this power outage thing in Cali is manufactured to test us or something along those lines. Perhaps. Maybe it's to see how a large city conducts itself in the adversity for future BS. You decide on that.

Here's a few words directly from the event page:
This is a Call to Arms against government overreach, particularly the governor. Not only the asinine and unconstitutional gun law attempts, but also the vape flavor bans. This is against any and all government overreach. Aren’t you tired of them doing whatever they want?
(This is not a Black Horse Militia planned event, however we support those fighting the righteous fight.)
